5 out of 5 starsWhat a great, funky mail art rubber stamp. I really appreciated the sweet little note, the thoughtful wrapping, and the extra tiny gift stamp, and the quality of the stamp itself--clear and strong. It got here in great time and in good shape. Would recommend this shop absolutely!

Frequently asked questions
1. Can I request custom designs for rubber stamps or photopolymer stamps?
Certainly! I offer customization options for both rubber stamps and photopolymer stamps. You have two choices:
*Unique Custom Design: If you want a one-of-a-kind stamp exclusively for your project, I can create a custom design for you. This comes with an additional payment per project to ensure it remains unique.
*Customizable Designs for Resale: Alternatively, you can request a specific stamp design without any additional payment. If it's a design I believe others might love, I may later add it to my shop for resale, making it available to a wider audience.
Feel free to discuss your specific customization needs with me, and I'll work together with you to create the perfect stamp for your project!
2. What kind of ink should I use with your rubber stamps?
You have flexibility in choosing the ink for your rubber stamps, depending on your specific requirements. While I offer a selection of high-quality ink pads available for purchase in my shop, you are welcome to use any ink pad that suits your needs. If you'd like, you can explore the ink pad options I recommend in my shop, which can be conveniently ordered along with your new stamp. This way, you can ensure compatibility and optimal results for your stamping projects.
3. How do I care for and clean my rubber stamps?
To care for and clean your rubber stamps:
1. Immediate Cleaning: Clean your stamp immediately after use to prevent ink from drying.
2. Use Stamp Cleaner: Use a stamp cleaner or mild soapy water.
3. Gently Wipe: Gently wipe the stamp with a cleaning pad or lint-free cloth.
4. Repeat if Necessary: For stubborn residue, repeat cleaning.
5. Avoid Solvents: Don't use harsh solvents.
6. Dry Thoroughly: Let the stamp air dry completely before storing.
7. Store Properly: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
8. Protect the Surface: Use a stamping pad or scrap paper when stamping to prevent damage.
Following these steps will ensure your rubber stamps stay in good condition for clear and lasting impressions.
4. What are the usage rules for artists incorporating your stamps into their work, particularly in terms of reproduction methods?
Artists and crafters are welcome to utilize and sell their creations made using my stamps, which include hand-printed textiles, ceramics, paper crafts and more. Please be aware that only manually stamped images are allowed and the use of mechanical, computer or copier reproductions is prohibited. Feel free to explore your creativity and share the results with me!
5. What is the turnaround time for custom stamp orders?
The typical turnaround time for custom stamp orders is approximately 7 days from the moment I receive your instructions and photo references for the stamp. I strive to create each custom design with care and precision to ensure it meets your expectations. If you have any specific deadlines or urgent requests, please let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Your satisfaction is important to me, and I appreciate your patience as I work on your unique stamp design.
6. Can I see a proof of my custom stamp design before it's made?
Absolutely! I understand the importance of ensuring your custom stamp design meets your expectations. Before I proceed with creating your custom stamp, I will send you a proof of the design for your review and approval. This gives you the opportunity to take a close look at the design and request any changes or adjustments if needed.
Your happiness is my top concern, and I'm committed to ensuring that the end result matches your vision perfectly. Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and suggestions, and we can collaborate to fine-tune the design until it aligns perfectly with your preferences.
7. Are your rubber stamps mounted or unmounted?
I offer both mounted and unmounted options for rubber stamps, depending on your preferences. For rubber stamps, you can choose between wood mounts or unmounted stamps. Additionally, for photopolymer stamps, acrylic block mounts are available. Each listing provides the option to select whether you'd like your stamp mounted or unmounted. It's worth noting that custom portrait stamps are defaultly wood mounted, providing you with a choice that suits your needs for different stamp types. Please keep in mind that custom portrait stamps come with wood mounts by default.
Do you have any tips for achieving the best stamping results?
To achieve the best stamping results:
1. Use the right ink for your project.
2. Prepare a clean, smooth surface.
3. Practice on scrap paper.
4. Apply even pressure.
5. Align carefully before stamping.
6. Clean your stamp immediately after use.
7. Store stamps in a cool, dry place.
9. What are the key differences between rubber stamps and clear photopolymer stamps, and how do these differences affect their use and pricing?
Key Differences:
- Rubber stamps are 1cm / 0.4" thick and don't need mounting; clear stamps require an acrylic mount.
- Acrylic blocks work with multiple polymer stamps.
- Clear stamps offer precise visibility.
- Rubber stamps with wood mountings have a vintage appearance, while polymer stamps have a modern look.
- Both are handmade, with rubber stamps being hand-carved and polymer stamps created with UV light and photopolymer gel.
Other Details:
- Polymer stamps are cost-effective; rubber stamps have artistic value.
- Sizes: Polymer: 2cm to 9cm / 0.8" to 3.54", Rubber: 3cm to 25cm / 1.18" to 9.85".
- The pricing for polymer stamps depends on size, while the cost of rubber stamps depends on both size and design.
10. How can I reduce the stickiness of my polymer stamp?
To make a stamp less tacky you can apply a fine dusting of corn starch, talcum powder or baby powder.
